For years, its existence had been passed down as folklore until the wyvern's habitat was found at last. Its massive body size creates an illusion of a moving snow mountain, as it unleashes a ferocious assault. Despite its large size, it can brilliantly jump over crevasses that are several times its body width. Those who lay eyes on the Avalanche Wyvern are usually left in awe, making themselves vulnerable. 雪山深奥部を住処とするため、身体の各部位が硬い氷と深く積もった 万年雪のなかを行動するのに適した形状となっている。Its developed mandible is great for crushing snow and with strong claws, it can pierce through the thick ice. The scales covering its body are also unique. 頭から背中を覆う大振りのヒ レは、鋸のように鋭利で小さい刃が並んでいる。また下あごから腹部、尾 の腹にかけてはスパイク状の鋭利な鱗で覆われている。これは身体全体 で氷を砕くためでもあり、氷上で滑らないための滑り止めの役割を持つ。Ukanlos' fins are sharp and very tough. The tip of the fin is aligned with many saw-like projections and can function as a small sword, although the material is useful for both offensive and defensive equipments.
Legend of The White Snow God / 白き雪神の伝承
In the northern Furahiya Mountains, legends of a ferocious "White Snow God" have been passed down in the Land of Cold. "The sea-splitting voice of God hits the Sun, and stomps down with its Divine finger. Piercing from the sky and stars, the hands and feet of God trampled the wriggling creatures of this world. With the Wrath of God, their world was destroyed, and so, that is the harsh nature of the Northern District." A legend, as everyone had thought, but the White Snow God was real. One day in the far northern ranges of the Furahiya Mountains, a large avalanche mysteriously occurred. There was something present in the isolated and frigid snowy lands. After the incident occurred, communication with the region's mountain village was lost. The Dragon Observatory went to investigate and came upon a white wyvern that even the Hunter's Guild was not sure as to the extent of its existence. The wyvern, who was branded as a God in folklore, had devastated several villages. It was named "Ukamurubasu" (meaning "White Snow God" in the local language). It was to be intercepted by the Hunter's Guild.
Many Ecological Mysteries / 謎の多い生態
The few hunters who have faced the Ukanlos and survived have made sketches and written testimonies. According to those, Ukanlos have sharp and highly developed mandibles, which they use to crush ice and burrow in the snow. There are fang-like projections under its chin which are used in predation. According to hunter testimony, it is capable of releasing highly pressurized snow from its mouth, known as the "Ice Breath". This breath is a compression of crushed ice and snow and has the power to shatter rocks.

Fearing that nearby villages would be plunged beneath with its appearance, the Ukanlos was subdued by the Hunter's Guild. However, it was thought to be the "White Snow God" from legends and the only one of its kind. Now, the long covered mountain snows have begun opening deeply, and the existence of a second and third "God" is undeniable. To learn from past mistakes, the Dragon Observatory and Hunter's Guild should not neglect to conduct further research and investigate.
